I just noticed that something on my desk, just beneath the computer screen, was turned over. I tried to set it upright with my cursor. Reminded me of the time that I found myself clapping along with the audience while watching Sally Jesse Raphael once.

I know. I’m no Gisele.

Mad Men is ridiculous this season. If you aren’t watching this show yet, you really need to do yourself a favor and borrow your neighbor’s set of DVDs. (Or if you’re cheap, google “watch mad men online”)

Found this today in The Stranger’s 2009 “What’s the sexiest thing you did in the last year?”

If you have the money to spend, go and pick up a new remastered box set from The Beatles. It’s like hearing The White Album for the first time again. If you think you’ve heard The Beatles, think again.

What do you recommend I look forward to these coming months? What are you looking forward to?

I went to the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince premiere at midnight, downtown in Seattle. I just wanted to write a quick note about the film. It was surprisingly hilarious, especially for those of us who still read the written versions of these films. The humor was very well balanced, considering the sobering events that occur towards the ending of the movie. Watching Harry, Ron, and Hermione in their sixth year at Hogwarts felt, bizarrely enough, like seeing very old friends after a very long absence; very fulfilling.
